Steam Locomotive

My friend and I were waiting for our friends at the railway station in Znamyanka. On the territory of the station there is a steam locomotive of the times of the Second World War. Since my childhood I wanted to get out on him, but my parents did not allow me. On that day I did it!
The inscription on the locomotive:
"After heavy fighting for the liberation of the Znamianka from the fascists, this locomotive first arrived at the liberated station Znamyanka on December 22, 1943 and paved the way for the movement of military echelons in the offensive on the Kirovograd direction."

How to spend the weekend

I came to visit my brother in Odessa. We went on a short trip to interesting places. In Moldova we bought good wine, climbed to the top of the old fortress in Belgorod-Dnestrovsky and rested on the wide beaches in Zatoka. Here's a short video:

Young modelers from all over Ukraine presented many different scale models. Tanks, airplanes, cars, ships. Everything is made of different materials (paper, plastic and, even, matches). Dioramas of military events aroused special interest.

Trip to Lviv Поездка во Львов

Lviv is a very cozy city full of sights. I advise everyone to go there. In the central part of the city there are many ancient buildings, churches, museums. Among the cafes, the most famous "Kryivka", which means shelter. It is underground and was originally used by the Ukrainian Insurgent Army. This was a period of struggle against the punitive organs of the USSR. In my opinion, "Kryivka" is not only a cafe, but also a museum. There are full of weapons of the times of the Second World War, objects of military life, etc. It's so easy not to get there, you need a password. At the entrance there is a person in the form and asks for the password, it is necessary to answer: "Glory to Ukrainians!". At the end of the video, I filmed the entrance there.

      In addition to parachuting, I'm interested in mountain climbing. This hobby has appeared after viewing of a film "Everest". I wanted to rise in winter to the highest mountain in Ukraine - Hoverla (2061 m). Friends liked this idea, too, they decided to go with me.

    We have purchased the most necessary equipment: tracking sticks, ice hoods and thermal underwear. I used to have experience in orienteering on the terrain and I was sure that I could take us to the top.

      Goverla is located in the Ivano-Frankivsk region, near the border with Rumunia. The ascent began in the morning, from the sports base "Zaroslyak". This is a relatively safe place, here the lowest probability of avalanches. The weather was clear. At an altitude of 1500 m, the alpine climate and the wind zone began. There we met a group that could not get up because it was poorly equipped. Then the sky was clouded, the top was no longer visible. The visibility was of 30 m and the wind about 80 km / h. Everyone stayed together, so as not to lose anyone, we walked slowly but surely. After 4 hours from the beginning of the ascent, we reached the top. By the cross that stood there, I determined that the thickness of the snow cover is about 3 m. It is a pity that there was poor visibility, and we did not see all the beauty of the Ukrainian Carpathians. I really want to repeat this, but in good weather and in winter.

С самого детства мечтал прыгнуть с парашютом. Смог осуществить эту мечту, когда начал сам зарабатывать деньги. Записался в местный авиаклуб, начал изучать парашют и этапы подготовки к прыжкам. Это были очень интересные занятия на площадках со специальными тренажерами, а также теоретическая подготовка в классах. Хочу отметить, что этот авиаклуб военного направления, функционирует с 1927 года, подготавливает летчиков и парашютистов. В свое время мой дедушка тоже занимался здесь. Я всегда хотел быть похожим на него!  

В день моего первого прыжка утреннее небо было пасмурным, но уже к обеду ветер разогнал все тучи и утих. Погода была идеальной. Мы одели парашюты, построились, был проведен инструктаж, после чего пошли к самолету, который нас ждал с работающим двигателем. Это был старый, надежный  АН-2 «Антонов». Когда зашел на борт, слегка начали трутся колени и участился пульс. Самолет взлетел, поднимался выше и выше. Все смотрели на красоту нашей природы – поля, деревья и реки. Высотомер достиг отметки 800 м, инструктор объявил, что приближаемся к месту высадки. Будущие парашютисты немного засуетились – это был борт новичков. Открылась дверь, первым прыгать должен был я, поскольку сидел возле нее. Ели заставил себя встать и подойти к этой бездне! Оттолкнулся изо всей силы и выпрыгнул, через пару секунд рев самолета не был слышен. Наступила тишина, посмотрел вверх, убедился, что парашют удачно раскрылся. Рядом со мной в небе опускались другие парашютисты, на расстоянии 50 м друг за другом. Ближе к земле правильно сгруппировался и удачно приземлился. Меня настолько переполняли эмоции, что не мог нормально разговаривать… такой был мой первый прыжок!

Такого адреналина, как в небе, я больше нигде не получал. Пришлось вернуться и продолжить заниматься этим увлекательным видом спорта – парашютизмом!

These were very interesting classes on sites with special simulators, as well as theoretical training in classes. I want to note that this air club of military direction, has been functioning since 1927, prepares pilots and paratroopers. At one time, my grandfather also worked here. I always wanted to be like him!                                                                        On the day of my first jump the morning sky was overcast, but by the time the wind had dispersed all the clouds and had died down. The weather was perfect. We dressed parachutes, built, instructed, and then went to the plane that was waiting for us with the engine running. It was an old, reliable AN-2 Antonov. When I got on board, my knees began to rub slightly and my pulse increased. The plane took off, rose higher and higher. Everyone looked at the beauty of our nature - fields, trees and rivers. The altimeter reached 800 meters, the instructor announced that we are approaching the landing site. The future paratroopers a little fussed - it was the board of the newcomers. The door opened, I was the first to jump, because I was sitting next to it. I made myself stand up and approach this abyss! Pushed out with all my strength and jumped, after a couple of seconds the roar of the plane was not audible. There was a silence, looked up, convinced that the parachute had successfully opened. Next to me in the sky dropped other paratroopers, at a distance of 50 m one after another. Closer to the ground correctly grouped and successfully landed. I was so filled with emotions that I could not speak properly ... this was my first jump!

Such adrenaline, as in the sky, I nowhere else received. It was necessary to return and continue to engage in this exciting sport - parachutism!

Привет! Как-то зимой, родители попросили меня посидеть с младшей сестрой. Мне тогда было 28, сестре - 12.
Малая - Давай порисуем или поиграем в прятки?
Я - Какие прятки?? Сейчас придумаю что-то поинтересней...

Немного подумав, скачал с интернета развертку масштабной модели запорожца и распечатал. И тут пошла работа, сидим, вырезаем детали, склеиваем. Полтора часа и модель готова. Снова стало скучно. Появилась идея снять видео. Достали камеру, начали снимать, а что за видео без взрыва. Далее, оделись, пошли в магазин фейерверков и купили пару бомбочек). Пошли на пустырь и подорвали этого малыша! Сестра была оператором. Ей очень понравилось такое время провождение. Когда рассказала все родителям, то был скандал... Мне больше не доверяют роль няньки))

After a little thought, I downloaded from the Internet a scan of the scale model of the Zaporozhye and printed it out. And then the work went, we sit, we cut out the details, we glue together. One and a half hours and the model is ready. It became boring again. There was an idea to make a video. Got a camera, started shooting, and that for the video without an explosion. Next, dressed, went to the fireworks store and bought a couple of bombs). We went to the wasteland and blew this baby! The sister was the operator. She really enjoyed this. When she told all our parents, there was a scandal ... I no longer trust the role of a nanny))
